This thermal spa is situated directly on the beach overlooking the sea. Its strengths lie in the thalassotherapic treatments it offers, which come from the Greek word "thalassa" meaning to use seawater as a cure. In fact, the centre uses seawater, sand and the marine climate for therapeutic purposes. Seawater, which contains all 92 simple elements existing in nature that act as biocatalysts to many living organisms' chemical reactions, is considered the queen of mineral waters. The combination of these components permits various treatments to be carried out such as hydro-massage treatments, algae therapy and aerosol therapy. Since 2001, the centre has used the salt-bromine-iodic water known as Miramare, for treating problems of the respiratory system. In May 2002, the centre opened three new thermal swimming pools for rehabilitation, gymnastics and aqua gym, free time activities and biomarine hydro-massages. The spa also offers new vascular treatment at changing temperatures and there is also a new mud bath treatment centre. To complete the offer, well-being and "get back into shape" programmes are offered as are physiotherapeutic, shiatsu and relaxing massages and beauty treatments and there are also gyms and a beach zone.
